Services Are Built On This Concept

There is a reason that doctors or nurses take your temperature, pulse and blood pressure each time you step inside the medical office.  Granted you came into the office for a reason and it is their job to do a evaluation and provide a solution.   However there are many individuals that never step foot in the doctors office for even a annual physical and later they find out, too late, that there was something bad going on, that had they evaluated earlier, would or could have been resolved.   We believe that our mission is to build tools to evaluate the business health relative to what buyers want to purchase and if need be, assist in corrective strategic ways that allow health to return to a path of business sale success.

Another, not so nice, example is similar to when a seller leaves the evaluation of the company to the buyer's due-diligence process.  When this happens it's like purchasing life insurance and leaving up the results to the evaluation of the insurance company and answering questions of the examiner without understanding the purpose of the questions.   Many people have been refused life insurance, bank loans, and numerous critical needs because of unawareness of their own health and/or communicating answers that puts doubt in the mind of the insurer or the person providing the life support.

At a minimum we believe the business should take its blood pressure, pulse and temperature as much as it would be necessary to make gentle and easy corrective actions before issues blossom into bigger more painful issues.   We also believe that sale preparation is cheaper and easier if it is spread over a longer period of time vs. the traditional approach of having the owners take critical time away from their business to fulfill buyers short time frame.   Then watch the buyers walk away from the deal leaving the business in a divot of performance because the owner sacrificed performance to fulfill buyers requests with the justification to close the deal.

Sale preparation is most successful when approached as a collaborative process with best-in-class advisers. We take all the necessary time to work close with you to thoroughly understand your objectives and goals.  Second, together with specialized advisors (attorneys, CPA’s, estate attorneys, valuation specialists, etc.) we identify and present creative solutions and state-of-the-art ideas customized to your specific situation.   We take minimal time to evaluate and prepare the company for sale because we can usually spread out the tasks over time. Then the plans are periodically revisited for appropriate updates or changes in circumstances till sale.
